You have been told about the humans being held captive by the myemar. Will you do right by your race? Learn if there are other victims. Free them if possible. Avenge them if not. Success is determined by how many myemar are killed as well as prisoners freed and other variables.

Upgraded Rewards:

1) XP +350

2) One item of uncommon or higher quality.

3) 2 gold crowns

Rewards forfeit if the quest is not finished within 24 hours.

Tim immediately noticed that the quest language and rewards offered differed from what he had been offered. When he checked his own character sheet, the quest now showed a reduced XP reward down to 350 just like the others were offered, but he still had the favor and title lines rather than the gold crowns.

A voice spoke into his head, “Shh… this quest was meant for you. I can’t fault you for seeking help, but some of the rewards are only for you. Now that you have help though, I’m putting a twenty-four-hour time limit on finishing the quest.”

Since coming to Iocusinte, Tim had to accept that hearing a voice in his head didn’t mean he was going insane. What worried him was that this was a feminine voice, and unless Cal-Dakota was playing some game with him, it was definitely not the same being who had been tormenting him since he arrived.

As if reading his mind, the voice said, “You can’t tell your Patron that I’m speaking to you. It’s against the rules, but the stakes are too high for the prankster’s games. You need to know that you have other options.”

Tim tried asking who was speaking to him in his head but didn’t get an answer. He tried thinking ‘louder’ if that was a thing. He kept pushing but wasn’t hearing anything more, until finally, “Not so loud. He will hear.”

There was no way that Tim could trust this voice. It was also disconcerting to realize that there was some being who could speak into his head at any moment. On top of that, he didn’t want to get in the middle of any dispute that was going on between Cal-Dakota and some similar being.

He remembered that there were supposedly four patrons. So, the logical assumption was that this was another of the patrons, whether they were divine beings or just cosmic pests was still up in the air. He just didn’t want to get squished in the middle or used as a pawn in their machinations.

No sooner had he thought that than the words came, “At least he was telling the truth about that. You are quite entertaining. Just keep quiet now. Not all of us are like him.”

Tim tried to school his face to not reveal anything. He and the team finished up a quick planning session, and then they found him a bunk to sleep in. The guard outpost had been here so long that it was fairly permanent. So rather than a tent, there was a small building with a bunk and table for him to stay in.
